This is a complete first edition of the monumental work "Mémoires concernant l'histoire, les sciences, les arts, les mœurs, les usages, etc. des Chinois", written by the Jesuit missionaries in Beijing and published between 1776 and 1791 in 15 volumes by Nyon, Libraire, Paris. The text and illustrations are complete and in very good condition, with no missing pages or plates.

It is one of the most important early Western sources on China and remains a cornerstone of Sinological studies.
