Senkei Rare Books, operated by Senkei Co., Ltd., is an antiquarian bookseller based in Kanagawa, Japan, specializing in rare books, manuscripts, prints, photographs, maps, and ephemera relating to East Asia.

Our particular interest lies in materials that illuminate the cultural and intellectual exchanges between East Asia and the wider world — including the transmission of religion, science, medicine, technology, and knowledge across languages and borders.

We work with private collectors, libraries, universities, and fellow booksellers worldwide. Alongside our regular inventory, we also issue thematic catalogues devoted to selected subjects and collections.
