Luigi Moccagatta, O.F.M. (1809–1891) 江類斯 was an Italian Franciscan missionary who served successively as Vicar Apostolic of Shandong and Shanxi. Born in Castellazzo-Bormida, he entered the Franciscan Order at sixteen and was ordained in 1832 before departing for China. He played a central role in rebuilding and reorganizing the Catholic mission in northern China, especially in Jinan following the Treaty of Peking (1860). Appointed to Shanxi in 1870, he remained there until his death in 1891, leaving a lasting influence on the development of the Church in the region.
