Qu Xian Xu Zhi is an introductory work on the geometry and construction of curves, compiled by John Fryer (傅蘭雅) for the Jiangnan Arsenal’s technical education program. The text is arranged into five concise chapters covering proportional principles, a general introduction to curves, and the forms and properties of the ellipse, hyperbola, and parabola.
